PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Capture Manager II is responsible for developing viable business opportunities, strategies, and compliant bids for Yulista Holding subsidiary companies within the Technical Services and Base Operations Groups

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Perform the following functions in a matrixed organization: capture and strategic planning, market research, key event and milestone coordination, and leading pre-marketing activities that increase shareholderโ€™s value and increase YHLโ€™s win percentage.
  • Develop and assist with Gate Review presentations and written plans that convey Profit and Loss Models, risk, ROI, and work load plans that provide YHL subsidiaries with the basis of information to make sound decisions to invest limited resources to the capture of new business opportunities.
  • Author or assist in the authoring of Management, Past Performance, Technical, and Cost volumes of proposals, while helping assure that YHL submittals are compliant to US Government and commercial statements of work and solicitations.
  • Under the direct supervision of the Group Vice President for Tech and BOS services, this position will work in concert with subsidiary presidents and YHL Contracts, Finance, Security, Human Resources, and BD team to develop teaming and price-to-win strategies and recruit appropriate personnel to effectively bid the opportunity.
  • Utilizes capture software to develop a New Business Opportunity. Assist Group subsidiaries in maintaining current, valid pursuit information with Salesforce.
  • Equip subsidiary presidents and holding company management with the background and information required to make informed decisions on opportunities.
  • Perform gap analyses, color reviews, such as Black, Blue, Green, Pink, Red, and Gold reviews to ensure technical documents are compliant to solicitations and bids.
  • In concert with YHL Finance and Subsidiary Pricing Teams, develop BOEs and pricing strategies to capture work and increase company profitability.
  • Continuously advise Group VP and subsidiary presidents on current market developments that impact teaming and pricing strategies.
  • In concert with YHL Subsidiary Executive management, negotiate work share and teaming arrangements ensuring compliance with the FAR and other regulatory requirements.
  • The Capture Manager II may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  • Computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred.
  • Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with external contacts such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc. Must represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, or associated degree.
  • Proven experience in Capture Management to include processes and protocols from approval to bid โ€“ proposal โ€“ capture/award โ€“ transition.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management software and solutions, preferably SalesForce, Deltek.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and Deltek products preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial outlook that creates solutions to customerโ€™s PWS at competitive cost.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
  • US Government or Military background with a concentration in contracting or program management.
Experience / Education
  • Capture Manager II โ€“ BA/BS Degree and 2โ€“5 years of task related experience.
