Job description

We are seeking a Game Capture Technician — a specialist who will assist a Game Capture Artist/Director in capturing cinematic gameplay footage from development game builds to provide best-in-class assets to the project.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with capturing game footage for use in trailers, social media spots, and other assets.
  • Support the Game Capture Director by maintaining shotlists and continuity across takes.
  • Take direction from Game Capture Directors and Artists to perform coordinated gameplay actions and execute precise technical tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team and implement feedback from creative leads.
  • Provide technical support across PC, console, and mobile game environments — assisting with hardware, software, and connectivity issues as they arise.
  • Help troubleshoot in-game blockers and creatively problem-solve on the fly.


Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of video games and gaming experience across genres and platforms.
  • Technical and troubleshooting skills with PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Sheets, Drive, and related collaborative tools).
  • Flexible availability — schedules and hours can vary significantly day-to-day.


Bonus Skills:

  • Photography, cinematography, or film experience — with a working understanding of composition, lighting, and color theory.
  • Working knowledge of camera fundamentals — depth of field, aperture, focus, lenses, ISO.
  • Familiarity with at least one game engine and its cinematic tools (e.g., Unreal or Unity).
