It may involve problem-solving, research, or the completion of a significant project relevant to a specific field. These roles are often found in internships, apprenticeships, or final-year academic projects aimed at preparing individuals for professional careers.

What are capstone projects?

Capstone projects are culminating academic assignments that require students to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained throughout their course of study to solve real-world problems or complete practical tasks. Job description

The Pinto Valley Mine (PVM) is wholly owned by Capstone Copper Company (Capstone), who purchased the mine from BHP in 2013. Capstone re-started the operation shortly after it was acquired, keeping alive the economic engine that has provided for countless families over a couple of generations and contributed significantly to the Arizona copper economy.

PVM is entering a transition period. With copper prices at an all-time high and a strong long term market outlook, the opportunity for PVM to expand its operations footprint in the Globe-Miami region is significant. Whether alone or with partners, it is a given that PVM will be taking its next growth step in 3-5 years. This growth step will mean significant change for PVM and its host community, the Globe-Miami region. The change will also be an important feature on the landscape of Arizona's copper mining community and the Arizona economy.

To prepare for a successful business transition, PVM is seeking a community relations professional to become a part of our team and to help us create the future.
