Pinto Valley is an open-pit copper mine located at the west end of the historic Globe-Miami mining district of central Arizona, approximately 80 miles east of Phoenix. Pinto Valley has been in operation since 1972 and has produced more than four billion pounds of copper. Acquired by Capstone from BHP in 2013, the mine is fully permitted through 2039 and a study is underway to potentially extend the mine life through 2050.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

As a E & I Maintenance Parts Coordinator and Scheduler, you will be responsible for verifying, kitting, and staging parts for maintenance jobs, projects, and outages, ensuring accuracy and readiness for execution. This role also supports parts returns, repair logistics, yard organization, and may serve as a backup E & I maintenance planner when needed.

  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and Capstone’s Values in Action.
  • Parts Management: Verify, kit, and stage parts for maintenance jobs to ensure accuracy and readiness.
  • Coordination & Communication: Update planners and supervisors on parts status and job readiness.
  • Logistics Support: Handle repair returns, retrieve unplanned parts, and maintain proper documentation.
  • Field & Yard Support: Assist with staging in the field and maintain clean, organized laydown areas.
  • Planning Backup: Support E & I maintenance planning during absences and contribute to long-term scheduling.
  • System & Admin Support: Use SAP for work order tracking, ordering parts and materials, assist with invoices and parts returns.
  • Culture & Values: Model Capstone’s Values and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required

  • Experienced E&I maintenance planner/scheduler, craftsperson, maintenance supervisor, or have equivalent background and experience.
  • Minimum of one year of maintenance execution, scheduling or planning.
  • Experience and knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance processes and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Strong time management skills required.
  • Computer skills, spreadsheets (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Projects, and Microsoft Power Point).
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License
  • Able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English

Preferred

  • SAP experience.
  • NFPA 70 Experience
  • Mining experience.
