Capitol River Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our nursing team on Day Shift. If you're passionate about providing safe medication administration and exceptional resident care, we'd love to meet you.

Position Summary

The Certified Medication Technician (CMT) administers prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a licensed nurse while providing compassionate, resident-centered care. The CMT plays an important role in promoting resident safety, medication accuracy, and quality of life in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, Missouri regulations, and facility policies

  • Verify resident identity prior to medication administration using established safety procedures

  • Accurately document medications, treatments, dosages, and administration times in the electronic medication record (eMAR)

  • Observe residents for medication effectiveness and report changes in condition to the licensed nurse

  • Monitor for and report adverse medication reactions or concerns

  • Maintain medication cart organization, cleanliness, and security

  • Assist with medication reorders and inventory management

  • Complete accurate narcotic counts and medication documentation as required

  • Follow infection prevention and infection control procedures

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members

  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service education, and ongoing training

  • Support quality resident care by assisting with other assigned duties within the scope of certification

Qualifications
  • Current Missouri Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification required

  • Current CNA certification, if required by Missouri regulations

  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, assisted living, memory care, or healthcare preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
