Position Overview

We are seeking a Production Planner to support production scheduling, materials planning, and workflow coordination at our manufacturing facility in Coldwater, MI.


This role is responsible for developing production schedules, managing work order flow, analyzing capacity constraints, and ensuring material availability to support customer demand. The Production Planner works closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial teams to maintain schedule integrity, improve manufacturing performance, and drive on-time delivery.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain production schedules using ERP/MRP systems
Manage work orders, material flow, and production priorities to support on-time delivery
Analyze capacity, labor, and material requirements to optimize production performance
Monitor schedule risks and develop recovery plans to address constraints and shortages
Maintain ERP data integrity, including inventory, BOMs, routings, and planning parameters
Support inventory management, cost analysis, and process improvement initiatives
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to improve manufacturing performance
Support reporting, forecasting, and operational planning activities

Ideal Candidate Profile

Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
2-10 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment
Strong Excel, analytical, and data management skills
Understanding of manufacturing principles, capacity planning, and inventory management
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Theory of Constraints, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred
APICS certification or similar professional certification preferred
