Job description

Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, storage, material movement, shipping, staffing, safety, and operational planning. This position provides leadership and direction to the warehouse team while ensuring the department operates safely, efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with Company goals and GMP/SQF requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for warehouse operations and ensure daily activities support Production and customer requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain efficient warehouse processes, workflows, and operating procedures.
  • Oversee receiving, inventory, storage, material movement, picking, staging, and shipping activities.
  • Maintain overall accountability for inventory accuracy, cycle counts, inventory transactions, and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Oversee the use and management of the warehouse ERP system, ensuring accurate and timely entry of inventory, receiving, shipping, material movement, and operational data.
  • Monitor ERP data accuracy and work with relevant departments to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Plan and manage warehouse staffing, scheduling, training, performance, and employee development.
  • Monitor warehouse capacity, space utilization, product flow, and material movement to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Establish and monitor warehouse KPIs, including inventory accuracy, productivity, shipping and receiving performance, labor utilization, and safety.
  • Identify operational issues and opportunities for improvement and lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage warehouse resources, equipment, supplies, and operating expenses to support departmental and Company objectives.
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with Company policies, safety requirements, GMP, SQF, Quality, and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Maintenance, and HR to coordinate operations, resolve issues, and support business needs.
  • Participate in operational planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-term warehouse capacity and resource planning.
  • Provide leadership with regular updates regarding warehouse performance, staffing, inventory, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Hold warehouse leadership and employees accountable for performance, safety, attendance, quality, and adherence to Company procedures.
  • Lead the development of a strong warehouse team and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience.
  • 2+ years of warehouse supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and material handling.
  • Experience managing warehouse ERP systems and maintaining accurate operational data.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of GMP, SQF, or food manufacturing requirements preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
