Job description


MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Transfer Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting hospital capacity management and patient flow by coordinating and facilitating safe, efficient patient transfers within and between hospitals in the Inspira Health system. Working within the Operations Intelligence Center (OIC), the Transfer Coordinator ensures optimal bed utilization and seamless communication between clinical teams, hospital departments, and external facilities to expedite patient transfers and improve overall hospital throughput.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient flow, transfer coordination, or ambulance dispatch.
  • Experience working in a centralized operations or command center environment (preferred).

Certification/ Licensure:
  • BLS required.
