Capacity/Laymor trucks is part of Terex Corporation, a global designer and manufacturer of specialized vehicles and equipment, including fire and emergency vehicles, waste and recycling equipment, RV's, and machinery supporting construction, utilities, and infrastructure. Primary Functions:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving assigned sales and margin targets; developing Capacity Dealer network and expanding dealer sales; promoting Capacity various product offerings; and management of performance metrics against established benchmarks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Capacity and its dealer network.
  • Establish dealer sales/margin targets and monitor performance against established metrics.
  • Assist dealers in the development of an annual business plan designed to achieve or exceed the annual sales target levels.
  • Design an appropriate territory management approach regarding dealer and customer visits ensuring each dealer is supported sufficiently per the annual business plan.
  • Address dealer network issues and concerns as required and/or proactively develop action plans to resolve issues.
  • Promote Collins Bus product offerings to dealers by coordinating and attending regional, state, and national trade shows as required.
  • Maintain healthy, professional and productive relationships with the dealer network.
  • Works closely with accounting, engineering and operations personnel and the remainder of the sales/marketing staff.
  • Optimize departmental resources to facilitate superior service to dealers regarding quotes, acknowledgments, and administrative matters.
  • Monitor expenditures and coordinate corrective action to budgets.
  • Advise the North American Director of Sales on market issues affecting the company.
Qualifications:
  • College degree in business, marketing, and related discipline.
  • Five (5) years experience developing and executing sales/marketing programs based upon developed market intelligence.
  • Proven background of meeting business plan sales volume and margin objectives.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or in small to large group situations
  • Extensive experience working in a dealership/dealer-based company environment, preferred
  • Extensive travel required approximately 70% of the time
  • Ability to handle diverse assignments simultaneously while working in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required along with strong presentation skills
