As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for over 50 consecutive years.
What You Will Be Doing
• Lead and oversee all aspects of Lobby Lounge operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, operational excellence, and memorable guest experiences.
• Provide operational leadership and support across other Food & Beverage outlets and hotel functions as needed, fostering collaboration, maintaining service excellence, and ensuring seamless guest experiences throughout the property.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, train, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Drive exceptional guest satisfaction by proactively engaging with guests, anticipating needs, resolving concerns with professionalism, and promoting hotel amenities and services.
• Partner with culinary, front office, and hotel leadership teams to ensure seamless execution of food and beverage service, special events, VIP experiences, and daily operations.
• Manage departmental financial performance by monitoring revenues, labor costs, inventory controls, operating expenses, and productivity metrics to achieve profitability goals.
• Utilize POS and hotel operating systems to accurately process transactions, analyze revenue trends, generate reports, and support informed business decisions.
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, beverage presentation, cleanliness, safety, and service execution.
• Create and maintain departmental schedules, establish performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Serve as a visible leader, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence while mentoring and motivating team members.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, operational planning, and special projects to enhance guest experiences and departmental performance.
Position Requirements
• Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience, preferably in a hotel or upscale hospitality environment.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage operations, service standards, and preparation techniques.
• Proven ability to manage financial performance, including labor controls, inventory management, forecasting, budgeting, and revenue optimization.
• Exceptional guest service skills with the ability to handle high-profile guest interactions and resolve concerns with diplomacy, professionalism, and discretion.
• Strong organizational, communication, and team development skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse teams.
• Proficiency in POS systems, reporting tools, and hospitality technology platforms.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple outlets and maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of health, safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance requirements within food and beverage operations.
