This position is remote; however, if you reside near our offices in Menomonee Falls, WI, or New York City, NY, we request that you work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

About the Role

As the Marketing Technology Manager, you will lead capability domains within Kohl's MarTech Strategy, Capabilities & Innovation (MTSCI) function, shaping the design, modernization and scale of marketing capabilities. You will translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and future-state designs, while driving innovation and AI-enabled opportunities. In partnership with Marketing, Technology, and MOps, you will deliver scalable, governed solutions that advance marketing performance and agility.

What You'll Do

  • Lead MTSCI assigned capability domains, setting strategy and roadmap aligned to business priorities, dependencies, and maturity goals.

  • Lead the successful definition, design, planning, implementation, execution and measurement of cross-functional marketing technology and capability initiatives

  • Identify and integrate innovation, transformation, automation, and AI opportunities into domain roadmaps, recommendations, and future-state solutions.

  • Translate business goals, pain points and opportunities into requirements, use cases, success criteria and future-state capability designs

  • Align cross-functionally on priorities, tradeoffs and solution direction, identifying capability and ecosystem gaps and developing recommendations that improve scalability, interoperability and effectiveness

  • Evaluate platforms, vendors and emerging marketing and AI technologies, assessing business value, ecosystem impact, scalability and long-term sustainability

  • Establish governance principles, design standards and decision frameworks, providing oversight through design, build and validation to ensure alignment with business intent and measurable value

  • Define or support success criteria, performance visibility and value realization measures for capability initiatives, using outcomes and feedback to inform roadmap evolution

  • Coach and guide the aligned Marketing Technologist, strengthening the quality of discovery, documentation, analysis, recommendations and overall domain execution

  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, MIS, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing technology, digital marketing and operations, CRM, customer data, digital strategy, analytics, workflow / content operations, media technology, or related capability design roles

  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional marketing technology / marketing capability / innovation initiatives and managing projects with increasing responsibility.

Preferred

  • Experience with enterprise marketing technology platforms, including CRM, CDP, marketing automation, CMS, DAM, decisioning / recommendation platforms, analytics, and media tech tools

  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, loyalty, lifecycle marketing, omnichannel marketing, or high-volume content environments.

  • Experience with IT development and delivery processes such as Agile, Kanban, SAFe, or similar methodologies and tools.
