Job Description
Position Summary
As a Mechanical Service Technician, you will perform HVAC/R troubleshooting and the necessary repairs to keep existing facilities and the systems there in, operating in an efficient manner. This work can include inspection, service, maintenance, start-up, testing, balancing, adjusting, repair, modification and replacement of mechanical and refrigeration equipment. We are looking for candidates with strong refrigeration experience to help grow that portion of our expanding company. Southland Industries is a signatory contractor of Local Union 420. We are ideally looking for someone currently located in the Philadelphia area.
Position Details
  • Utilize strong abilities in industrial and commercial refrigeration to contribute to the growth of a team by working with Rack Systems, Walk Ins and Ice Machines
  • Perform inspection, service, maintenance, start-up, testing, balancing, adjusting, repair, modification, and replacement of mechanical and refrigeration equipment and components
  • Maintain accurate site equipment history and records via company software
  • Work within a team that is dedicated to delivering quality Service while providing opportunities to it's employees for advancement.

Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Service Technician is a plus but not needed
  • HVAC Service Journeyman
  • 5 years through Local 420 Apprenticeship w/ Journeyman Card
  • Knowledge of Commercial HVAC equipment including, but not limited to RTUs, Cooling Towers, Boilers, VAV's and Refrigeration preferred
  • OSHA 10
  • EPA Universal
  • Valid PA driver's License
