Are you a proven canvasser looking to take the next step in your career?
Maytag Water Treatment Systems is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Canvassing Team Lead / Field Supervisor to help grow and develop our lead generation teams. This is a working leadership position, meaning you will be expected to maintain your own personal production while training, mentoring, and managing a team of 3-5 canvassers.
The ideal candidate is a strong producer who leads by example, enjoys coaching others, and thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Position Overview
As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for generating your own appointments while overseeing the daily activity, development, and performance of your assigned team. Your success will be measured not only by your personal production but also by the growth and productivity of the team you lead.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Production
  • Execute a daily canvassing route and maintain personal appointment-setting goals
  • Engage homeowners and educate them on water quality concerns and available solutions
  • Generate qualified appointments for the sales team
  • Lead by example through consistent field activity and performance
Team Leadership
  • Train and onboard new canvassers
  • Conduct ride-alongs and field training sessions
  • Assist new hires with scripts, rebuttals, and appointment-setting techniques
  • Monitor and improve team performance through coaching and accountability
  • Conduct daily check-ins and follow-up conversations with team members
  • Help identify areas of improvement and development opportunities
Route & Territory Management
  • Assist in route planning and territory assignments
  • Monitor canvasser activity and coverage within assigned areas
  • Ensure team members are following company standards and approved canvassing procedures
  • Coordinate with management regarding staffing, performance, and territory needs
Performance Management
  • Track individual and team production metrics
  • Maintain team accountability for attendance, activity, and production standards
  • Help retain and develop successful canvassers
  • Support recruiting efforts by assisting with field evaluations and candidate assessments when needed
