Mind Canvas Counselors is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time, remote position serving clients in New York City. Work Environment

This full-time position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while serving clients in a community health clinic setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' social, emotional, and environmental challenges, adapting methodologies as required.
  • Develop and implement personalized service plans with clearly defined goals, relevant interventions, and continuous progress monitoring.
  • Provide direct counseling to individuals and families experiencing various obstacles and life transitions, employing evidence-based therapeutic practices.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to identify strengths, set objectives, and seamlessly connect them to vital community resources.
  • Provide crisis intervention, including risk assessment and safety planning, tailored to meet urgent client needs.
  • Engage in advocacy work by collaborating with local agencies, ensuring comprehensive service coordination on behalf of clients.
  • Lead community outreach initiatives to enhance awareness of our services and engage potential clients.
  • Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing staff training initiatives to enhance service delivery and collaborative practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus population includes individuals and families grappling with complex social issues, including but not limited to homelessness, mental health struggles, and crises stemming from domestic violence and substance abuse. The LCSW will play a critical role in guiding these clients toward stability and empowerment through supportive counseling and resource navigation.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of community resources, social justice issues, and trauma-informed care practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with an emphasis on cultural competence and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working within a social service agency or a similar setting is preferred, demonstrating a solid understanding of case management and counseling techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 60,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a strong base salary, qualified candidates will receive a sign-on bonus upon joining our team.
