Position Overview

Mind Canvas Counselors is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility in work hours while maintaining regular business operations. Although primarily working from home, you will be an integral part of a supportive team at our detox center, ensuring that clients receive timely, quality care. While the standard schedule consists of regular business hours, you may occasionally work evenings or weekends to accommodate client needs and program activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients in order to identify their specific social, emotional, and environmental needs, utilizing a trauma-informed care approach.
  • Develop individualized service plans that outline clear goals, tailored interventions, and mechanisms for progress tracking.
  • Provide direct counseling and support to individuals and families facing diverse challenges, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized service plans and effectively connect them with necessary community resources and support networks.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services, risk assessments, and coordinated safety planning as required to ensure client well-being.
  • Build collaborative relationships with community agencies and organizations to facilitate service coordination and actively advocate for client needs.
  • Engage in community outreach efforts to raise awareness about available services and promote our agency’s mission.
  • Participate in regular case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training opportunities to enhance your professional development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this pivotal role, you will work directly with clients who are often experiencing complex and multifaceted challenges, including but not limited to mental health issues, substance use disorders, homelessness, and domestic violence. Your ability to create trusting relationships will be essential in facilitating their journey towards recovery and empowerment, utilizing your social work expertise to foster resilience and access critical services.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and cultural competence to effectively engage with diverse populations.
  • Proficient understanding of community resources, social justice issues, and trauma-informed care principles.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a social service agency, mental health setting, or comparable environment is preferred.
