General Job Description:

Sets up and operates horizontal and vertical CNC mills. Requires only general supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Job knowledge through suitable education or prior work experience
  • Able to read blueprints
  • 4th axis experience
  • Programming a must
  • Know correct speeds and feeds, tooling, design and manufacturing of fixtures

Specific Duties:

  1. Program and Set up horizontal & vertical CNC mills
  2. Make proper set-up to give rigidity to work piece
  3. Work with materials such as cast iron, steel, bronze, brass and other non-ferrous materials
  4. Hold tolerance of .003 inch
  5. Manufacture and inspect blueprint
  6. Upkeep daily preventative maintenance log

Physical Demands:

  1. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
  2. Requires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
  3. May be required to stand for long periods of time
  4. May involve some repetitive motions
  5. Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold
