Description
The Production Technician will assist in the post-harvest plant processing of cannabis. Fan leaf removal, harvest, drying, trimming, curing, weighing, packaging, labeling, recording, and inspection of product in addition to cleaning and sanitation. Maintains a clean and organized work environment.

What You'll Do:
Working within one of our production rooms to include debucking, trimming, curing, grinding, drying, and packaging
  • Follow Standard Operating procedures for debucking, trimming, grinding, drying and curing cannabis harvests in preparation for oil extraction and/or flower sales
  • Precise hand trimming will be required for flower sales
  • Accurately enter data in the state-run seed to sale inventory system
  • Responsible for organizing work areas and performing daily tasks such as washing and sanitizing equipment and racking systems
  • Accurately weigh and record materials
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area allowing for the proper segregation of materials and processes
  • Strict adherence to procedures and practices according to SOP's
  • Adhere to departmental, site and corporate safety policies
  • Responsible for facility and equipment cleaning in a clean room manufacturing environment to maintain NJ standards
  • Operate all production machinery safely and efficiently in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure functionality and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when operating machinery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and stay updated on best practices for machinery operation.
  • Sanitization and sterilization of post-harvest processing equipment such stainless-steel racks and shelves
  • Responsible for weighing, filling, and packaging work related to products with no micro-contamination introduced into the process or material
  • Assembles secondary packaging and final product
  • Other duties that may be required from time to time to improve operations and profitability and ensure required tasks and goals are completed across operations

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to take direction and complete daily tasks with minimal supervision

Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is normal. The employee is frequently exposed to an environment of natural chemical fumes, herbal aromas, airborne particles, exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Employee will have moderate exposure to conditions such as dust and particles that affect the respiratory system, eyes, or the skin, depending on department job assignments. Personal Protective Equipment is provided for employees to utilize and should be worn.
