The Opportunity

Our Regional Field Marketing Lead - Inland Empire is responsible for driving store traffic, new customer acquisition, and community engagement across four embarc locations in the Inland Empire: Riverside Magnolia, Riverside University, Riverside Arlington, and Fontana.


This is a hands-on, field-based marketing role for someone who loves building relationships, creating memorable experiences, and bringing ideas to life. You'll own local events, community partnerships, grassroots marketing initiatives, and regional activations while serving as embarc's ambassador throughout the Inland Empire.


This is a 90-day contract position focused on executing key regional initiatives and delivering measurable business impact.


Role Responsibilities
  • Drive store traffic and new customer growth across the Inland Empire market.
  • Plan and execute local events, grassroots activations, and community marketing initiatives.
  • Build, negotiate, and maintain relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations.
  • Develop partnerships with local creators and influencers to generate authentic content and increase brand awareness.
  • Manage regional event budgets, vendors, logistics, and field marketing operations from planning through execution.
  • Support localized marketing campaigns while maintaining embarc's brand standards.
  • Gather customer and community insights to help improve future marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with DCC regulations and local requirements.
  • Track and report weekly performance metrics, partnership activity, and event results.
  • Success Metrics: Growth in store traffic and new customers, successful execution of regional events, partnership development, PPC signups, social reach through community collaborations, and overall marketing ROI.

What Success Looks Like During the First 90 Days
  • Successfully plan and execute Día de los Muertos, the flagship Inland Empire event.
  • Assume day-to-day leadership of the Riverside field marketing team.
  • Establish the Stage Red partnership for the Fontana market.
  • Evaluate existing community partnerships and strengthen or replace relationships based on performance.
  • Build relationships with key Inland Empire organizations, including local arts, business, and community groups.
  • Launch the Embassador Program in partnership with the Community Marketing Manager.
  • Develop a field marketing strategy supporting the Arlington store opening.
  • Build a sustainable pipeline of local creators and content partnerships across the region.

Experience & Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, community engagement, experiential marketing, or a related role.
  • Experience planning and executing events from concept through completion.
  • Strong relationship-building and partnership development skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently while representing a growing consumer brand.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, consumer products, cannabis, or another customer-facing industry preferred.

Additional Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be available to travel throughout the Inland Empire region regularly.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as events require.
  • Ability to lift, transport, and set up event materials and equipment.
  • Mileage reimbursement is provided for approved business travel.


This position is a 90-day, full-time contract role with an annualized salary of $70,304. It offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact by growing embarc's presence and customer base throughout the Inland Empire while working alongside a passionate, community-focused team.
