???? Primary Purpose

Develop new business opportunities for Nassau Candy by identifying prospects, reactivating dormant accounts, and cultivating strong customer relationships. This role drives growth by supporting customer service in building and retaining accounts while enhancing Nassau Candy’s market presence within the confectionery industry.


???? Essential Functions
  • ???? Develop and maintain target lists of potential customers.

  • ???? Follow up with pre-qualified leads as assigned.

  • ???? Cold call and follow up with prospects to understand their businesses and identify partnership opportunities.

  • ???? Build and manage relationships with key customers to ensure satisfaction and account stability.

  • ???? Re-engage inactive accounts within relevant trades to explore new sales opportunities; maintain accurate call lists and account data.

  • ???? Conduct monthly business reviews for key accounts using sales and item velocity reports.

  • ???? Communicate new product offerings, promotions, and marketing initiatives to customers.

  • ???? Develop competitive pricing proposals and submit Requests for Price Adjustment (RPA).

  • ???? Communicate market trends, pricing changes, and strategic insights to the Confectionery Sales leadership.

  • ???? Collaborate with customer service to identify and pursue incremental sales opportunities with current accounts.

  • ???? Present products and promotions in the Nassau Candy showroom; visit key customers in the field as appropriate.

  • ???? Attend trade shows and industry events to network, build relationships, and promote Nassau Candy’s brand.

  • ???? Maintain knowledge of confectionery trends, innovations, and market dynamics.

  • ⚙️ Perform additional projects or assignments as directed by the department.


???? Minimum Requirements
  • ???? High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.

  • ???? Proven success in sales, preferably within confectionery, food, or consumer packaged goods (CPG).

  • ???? Highly assertive, self-motivated, and results-driven.

  • ????️ Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
