Summary:
This position is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and sustaining one or more cancer-associated accreditations, including the Commission on Cancer (CoC), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC). The role ensures timely accreditation readiness, ongoing standards compliance, and effective facilitation of tumor boards and cancer program committees.
Responsibilities:
Accreditation Management
• Maintain continuous compliance with all CoC, NAPBC, and NAPRC accreditation standards.
• Implement, update, and monitor policies, procedures, and workflows required to meet accreditation requirements.
• Educate physicians, staff, and stakeholders on accreditation standards, expectations, and survey processes.
• Review and interpret current American College of Surgeons (ACOS) standards and ensure all required elements are met.
• Coordinate all survey and re accreditation activities, including documentation, scheduling, and follow up actions.
Cancer Program & Tumor Board Coordination
• Plan, schedule, and document cancer committee meetings and tumor board conferences.
• Prepare agendas, presentations, and required documentation in alignment with CoC standards.
• Facilitate cancer program steering committees and support the development of annual program goals.
• Serve as the central coordinator to engage oncology leadership, clinicians, and support departments in cancer program initiatives.
• Record minutes, track attendance, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure all materials meet accreditation criteria
Other Information
Education Requirements:
  • No specific degree area is required if other qualifications are met.
  • Bachelor's degree in a health related field preferred; equivalent education and experience accepted.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
  • Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS C) or Project Management Professional (PMP) strongly recommended but not required.

Professional Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree: Minimum 2 years related experience.
  • Associate degree: Minimum 6 years related experience.
  • High school diploma: Minimum 10 years related experience in cancer education, cancer program support, or related areas.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, online platforms, and other computer applications required.
  • Preferred: At least 3 years as an ODS C or accreditation professional in a CoC accredited facility.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
  • Demonstrates strong communication and relationship building skills; easily engages with physicians, administrators, and accreditation partners.
  • Comfortable serving as a liaison across multidisciplinary teams and not easily overwhelmed in high stakes environments.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • Able to create and maintain templates, trackers, and documentation needed for compliance and survey readiness.
  • Proficient in preparing agendas, slide decks, and written minutes for committees and tumor boards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure documentation meets accreditation standards
