Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual counseling sessions with individuals, couples, families, or groups, adapting the format based on client needs and preferences.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices tailored to address the unique challenges faced by cancer patients.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in mental health treatment and incorporate relevant research findings into your therapeutic practice.
• Make thorough psychosocial assessments to identify the specific needs of clients and develop tailored treatment plans that enhance their coping strategies.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in accordance with state and federal regulations, ensuring trust and safety in all client interactions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers—including medical doctors, nurses, and social workers—to create a cohesive support network for patients.
• Actively participate in ongoing professional development to deepen your therapeutic skills, enhance service delivery, and contribute to clinical discussions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by cancer, spanning all phases of the patient journey, from initial diagnosis and treatment to survivorship and end-of-life issues. This role involves working closely with both patients and their caregivers, providing psychosocial support to mitigate the emotional impact of cancer. Your expertise will enable clients to explore their feelings, navigate difficult experiences, and build resilience, significantly contributing to improved quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• No history of medical malpractice claims, verified through a third party.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with cancer patients or in oncology settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and remote counseling practices.
• Skills in family therapy or group therapy contexts will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience and caseload. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
