Welcome to The HOUSEpitality Family! We are the restaurant group who owns and operates all Boathouse, Casa del Barco, Island Shrimp Co., and Can Can Brasserie locations in and around Richmond, VA.
Our Guests come to us to Celebrate Life one bit at a time with great views, unique character, and delicious food! We are looking for passionate professionals that want to provide exceptional service while having fun and making money. Flexible in-store training. PTO accrual starts on day one!
The Host is the first point of contact for our guests. A Host is responsible for greeting guests, communicating efficiently and effectively and escorting customers to their seats. The host will provide high-quality communication and service that will help maintain and attract customers.
Position Expectations:
  • Exceptional communication skills; engaging with internal and external guests
  • Greeting guests as they enter and depart
  • Manage reservations
  • Providing guests with menus and answer any initial questions; Inform guests of current promotion and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff
  • Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
  • Tend to special guest needs and requests
  • Answering phone calls, taking reservations, and answering questions
  • A knowledge of the menu and store offerings
  • Helping and supporting other positions in the restaurant as needed
  • Provide great customer service
  • Other duties as assigned
