Job description

Job Summary

 

The CNC Programmer Machinist is capable of significant contribution and has a history of successful project completion.  Plans, lays out and builds a variety of prototype and production parts.  Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of the policies, procedures, and practices critical to the delivery of successful results at Hillman. 

Essential Job Functions *

  1. Sets up and programs CNC milling machines using CAMWorks or Solidworks CAM
  2. Develops and fabricates prototypes for new products, product builds and engineering improvements using a wide range of materials.
  3. Supports manufacturing by producing, reworking, and modifying products.
  4. Ability to fabricate prototypes with and without engineering drawings.
  5. Participates and engages during brainstorming sessions.
  6. Is familiar of a variety of manufacturing/production processes.
  7. Proven ability to be successful in both a team and self-directed environment.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of experience with set up and programming of CNC milling machines using CAMWorks or Solidworks CAM

Operational Equipment

  • Uses CNC milling machines, power saws, hand tools etc. to perform work

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Quality Control: Fast-paced, standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Packaging - Key: Light-Medium, lifting up to 50 lbs.
