Familiarity with surveillance systems, two-way radios, and incident reporting software is commonly required. Strong observation, communication, and conflict de-escalation skills help officers respond effectively and build trust within the campus community. What are campus security officers?

Campus security officers are professionals responsible for maintaining the safety and security of students, staff, faculty, and visitors on a school or university campus.
