Job description

Overview
The Honors College is seeking highly motivated and hardworking Honors College undergraduate students for the Student
Associate positions starting in August 2025. This position involves working closely with Honors College professional staff to assist in daily office tasks. Student Associates also provide information regarding distinctions and academic policies and
procedures to current and prospective students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests of the Honors College. They serve a joint role in front desk responsibilities, checking students in for their appointments, and managing phone calls.
Responsibilities
• Customer Service: Serve as an Honors College Peer Advisor by providing customer services to students, faculty, staff,
visitors, and other Honors College guests.
• Office Support: Provide general office support including, but not limited to, greeting and welcoming guests, answering the
phone, maintaining office cleanliness, making on-campus deliveries, completing assigned tasks and projects, and other duties
as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the Honors College.
• Advising: Communicate information about Honors distinctions, Tiger Scheduler, DegreeWorks, and other advising-related
questions. Assist full-time advisors in projects. Manage advising appointments by checking in students and answering

Enrolled student at Auburn University
• Currently enrolled as an Auburn University Honors College student in good standing.
• Must currently possess and maintain an overall and major GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Commitment to work up to 20 hours per week.
  • Commitment to attend monthly meetings and development/training meetings as scheduled.
  • Business professional dress and demeanor required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to understand professional boundaries.
  • Committed to personally utilizing the services of the Honors College.
