Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Job Summary
The Part-Time Summer Camp Aide at Holy Cross Academy supports the daily operations of the school's summer camp program by assisting with student supervision, activities, and safety. This role helps create a positive, structured, and engaging environment that supports children's social, emotional, and physical development while reflecting the values and mission of the school.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in supervising children during summer camp activities, including indoor and outdoor play, field trips, and transitions.
  • Support the implementation of age-appropriate activities that encourage teamwork, creativity, and positive behavior.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming camp environment.
  • Assist camp leaders with preparation and cleanup of activities, materials, and shared spaces.
  • Monitor student behavior and reinforce camp rules and expectations consistently.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with camp staff, administration, and families as directed.
  • Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and child supervision guidelines.
  • Model positive behavior and contribute to a supportive camp culture.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 16 years of age (or school-required minimum age).
  • Experience working with children in a camp, childcare, school, or recreational setting (preferred).
