Job description

The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Marketing Intern - Digital Marketing for Summer Camp in Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Georgetown, TX.
Under the direction of the Creative Director of the YMCA of Central Texas, the Marketing Interns will work to execute a comprehensive digital media strategy for Summer Camp.
This role will work directly with our Marketing Team and Camp Staff to collect necessary content for newsletters, social media, and website content for Camp. This role may include content creation for social media, and will help define the digital voice for Camp, and increase the level of communication/engagement for parents. This position requires ability to travel to one of our multiple camp sites in Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Georgetown.
This is a seasonal, part-time position working approximately 30-35 hours/week with hours Monday-Friday between 9am-3pm.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordination/Execution of camp photography for accurate and timely communications/social media content updates
  • Assist with accurate and timely updates to all Camp social media outlets (daily)
  • Actively and enthusiastically solicit input from Camp staff through conscientious and proactive interaction
  • Adheres to best practices and processes for internal/external communications keeping in line with Association and Y-USA branding standards

Skills/ Requirements:
  • Photography skills required
  • Independent self-starter with effective problem-solving skills
  • Strong Communication skills newsletter content and social media captions
  • Canva experience
  • Facebook/Instagram/TikTok experience
  • Maintains organized files

Pay Rate: $15 - $17/hour
