Full-Time Pet Care Day Camp Attendant

Description

Kennelwood Pet Resorts is looking for a Dog Day Camp Counselor to be a part of a growing industry leader pet care business for the Summer. As a Dog Day Camp Counselor, you are able to handle a lot of canine energy confidently due to training, experience and a knack for working with dogs. You make sure that pets participate in breed-appropriate and size-specific activities and carefully maintain order in all playgroups. Your organizational skills and attention to detail ensure that every animal guest receives all their Day Camp activities as expected.


Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide dogs in camp with exercise and enrichment
  • Supervise group play sessions
  • Maintain a clean camp yard and clean up after dogs
  • Greet pet parents upon drop off and pick up
  • Walk dogs for placement in correct activity
  • May be cross-trained in other departments

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs on occasion
  • Ability to walk dogs of all sizes on leashes
  • Ability to handle dogs of all sizes
  • Comfortable working around pet hair and dander
  • A passion for animals
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • No experience necessary!
