Job description

Networking, Technologies & Support (NTS) is seeking a Smart Technologies Technician to install, complete maintenance, and have a comprehensive understanding to troubleshoot advanced smart technology systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. The individual in this role will play a pivotal role in driving technological advancements and enhancing the overall efficiency of operations.
Responsibilities Include:
Serves as a technical expert for smart technology systems (including A/V Solutions, Camera Systems, Access Controls etc.).
Provide technical input to the Infrastructure Manager on design concepts and quoting of solutions for clients.
Communicate with the team for issue escalation, cross-functional support, compatibility with existing systems, and project planning.
Provides and demonstrates guidance as well as having a working knowledge of IOT devices, giving team members mentoring and client's turnover guidance of deployed solutions.
Submit reporting of work completed as required in accordance with Service Level Agreements as outlined in customer Statements of Work and other necessary business reports as required (timesheets, expense reports, etc.).
Assists and Advises on the preparation of "Operation and Maintenance" manuals as necessary.
Conducts training sessions for other team members, sharing expertise and ensuring they are well-versed in handling smart technology systems.
Provide technical support and guidance to clients, addressing their concerns and resolving any technical challenges they encounter.
Develop new offerings to our clients by providing input on how new technologies can provide better services or support for our clients.
Skills Required:
Have or able to obtain and maintain necessary DCJS license for security related work.
1-2 years' experience with installing Cat 5/6 etc. cabling, coaxial cabling, and fiber.
1-2 years' experience and/or training in smart technologies; or equiv. combination of education and experience.
1-2 years' experience with A/V Systems, Systems (CCTV) and Access Control Systems
Proficiency in working with IOT devices, smart home systems, and connected Infrastructure with a strong understanding of networking, programming, and system integration.
Mental requirements include the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, climb ladders, use hands to handle/fee/reach, to talk and hear. Regularly lift 50-75 lbs. occasionally lift/move 100 lbs.
Able to use MS Office Suite to document work performed and send correspondence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Benefits: Start on Day 91 of employment
