ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll do

As a Surveillance Technician you will be utilizing technology and thinking critically to provide security for Rural King's assets.

  • Make a meaningful impact and drive positive change in the lives of our customers and the communities we serve.
  • Monitor camera systems for occurrences of theft, productivity issues, and security policy violations.
  • Assist Rural King associates with the use of the camera systems and reviewing video.
  • Use specialized reports to review financial transactions to identify discrepancies in a retail environment.
  • Maintain the alarm listing for all Rural King locations and assist associates in accessing their alarm.
  • Ensure communication with store personnel and increase awareness around Rural King Loss Prevention Initiatives.
  • Conduct package checks of associates leaving the Store Support Center.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on daily security incidents.
  • Support stores and customers with questions about store policies.
  • Review video footage of significant events and provide details to management, human resources, and/or law enforcement.
  • Maintain a level of confidentiality when dealing with and sensitive information pertaining to Rural King or it's Associates.
  • Be part of a team that celebrates achievements, promotes teamwork, and recognizes individual contributions.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

QualificationsEssential Qualities for Success
  • At least 1 years of surveillance experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to actively listen, ask relevant questions, and provide thorough and articulate responses.
  • Proven track record of consistently producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
  • Experience efficiently allocating time and resources to meet competing demands and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and persuasive skills to negotiate and influence stakeholders at various levels in the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify and address issues, minimizing potential delays or disruptions.

Physical Requirements  

  •  Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
  • Ability to navigate and access all facilities.
  • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
  • Close vision for computer-related activities.

The pay range for this position is $15.25 - $18.00 per hour and is bonus eligible. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay in compliance with applicable laws.
