Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Camera Specialist II to oversee, manage, and optimize camera system installations across multiple locations. This full-time role involves hands-on technical work, leadership responsibilities, and frequent travel to project sites and customer facilities.
The ideal candidate is an experienced technician who excels in security camera infrastructure, low-voltage systems, and enterprise-level video management platforms, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality installations and support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of security camera systems, with a focus on deployments involving 525 Technologies solutions.
  • Serve as the primary subject-matter expert for camera-related operations, system performance, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations, diagnose system issues, and implement effective corrective actions for camera, wiring, or network-related failures.
  • Manage and perform routine preventative maintenance, equipment calibration, firmware updates, lens adjustments, and cable assessments.
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, Facilities, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of cameras with network and security infrastructures.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to junior technicians, subcontractors, and project teams during installations and field work.
  • Document all work thoroughly, including service reports, installation logs, network details, and system configuration changes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, low-voltage regulations, and organizational security protocols.
  • Travel frequently to various job sites to support installations, inspections, upgrades, and emergency service requests.

Qualifications
  • Strong professional experience, including system deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Solid hands-on experience with CCTV/IP camera systems, low-voltage wiring, and enterprise VMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard video management systems is a plus.
  • Solid networking knowledge, including IP addressing, PoE switches, connectivity, and basic network configuration.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience leading others in the field.
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

Requirements
• Experience with major camera brands
• Knowledge of NVRs, VMS platforms, PoE systems, and network infrastructure
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in security camera systems, low-voltage installation, or related technical fields.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs., work on ladders, roofs, or confined spaces as needed.
• Must be willing and able to travel frequently
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
