We deploy NFC/BLE IoT devices, badges, and Axis camera systems to manage the secured access control and site monitoring of major commercial construction projects nationwide. Our platform gives worksite teams real-time insight into who is on site, where, and when – improving safety, security, and accountability across complex builds.

As Eyrus's camera program continues to grow, we're building a dedicated function to design, deploy, and support camera systems across every active jobsite in our portfolio.

Position Summary

We're hiring a Camera Systems Specialist to own Eyrus's camera program from system design through field deployment to ongoing maintenance and support, across every active jobsite in our portfolio. This position requires travel as needed to lead installations, audits, and escalated support issues.

This is a hands-on role that blends camera system design, field deployment, and ongoing technical support. The position will work directly with the sales team on system design in Axis Site Designer, with general contractor teams and installers in the field, and with Eyrus's internal operations and support teams to keep every camera site healthy long after go-live. A central part of the role is coordinating with Eyrus's U.S.-based third-party monitoring company to keep live video monitoring, alarm handling, and escalations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Own camera deployments nationally: plan, coordinate, and oversee the installation of Axis camera systems (fixed, PTZ, and LPR) on construction sites from mobilization through go-live.

• Partner with the sales team to scope and design camera systems for prospective and existing clients, building layouts and equipment lists in Axis Site Designer.

• Manage and monitor the health of the camera fleet across all active sites - connectivity, recording status, storage, and video quality - and drive resolution of issues before they affect the client.

• Coordinate with our U.S.-based third-party monitoring company on live video monitoring operations, site coverage, alarm/event handling, and escalation of camera or connectivity issues.

• Oversee ongoing maintenance and support for all deployed camera sites, including troubleshooting, warranty/RMA handling, firmware updates, and coordinating with local installers or subcontractors when a truck roll is needed.

• Act as the internal subject-matter expert on Axis products (cameras, VMS/recording platforms, networking accessories) and camera-related security monitoring practices.

• Work closely with field operations, IT/networking, and account management to ensure camera systems integrate cleanly with site networking and the rest of the Eyrus hardware stack.

• Document camera deployment standards, wiring/mounting guidance, and troubleshooting SOPs to support a scalable, repeatable rollout process.

• Travel to jobsites as needed to lead installations, audits, and escalated support issues.

Qualifications

Required

• Hands-on experience with Axis Communications camera hardware and software (cameras, AXIS Companion/Camera Station, firmware management).

• Experience with Axis Site Designer for system design and specification.

• Background in security camera system monitoring and management - recognizing and resolving connectivity, recording, and video-quality issues.

• Experience deploying technology systems on active construction sites, or comparable field/low-voltage installation experience in demanding physical environments.

• Working knowledge of IP networking fundamentals (IP addressing, PoE, VLANs, basic router/switch configuration) as they relate to camera deployments.

• Strong troubleshooting instincts and the ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.

• Comfort working cross-functionally with sales, operations, and support teams, including translating technical detail for non-technical stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel frequently to construction sites across the country.

• Valid driver's license

Preferred

• Experience with LPR (license plate recognition) camera configurations.

• Familiarity with cellular/IoT networking gear (e.g., cellular routers, SIM management) in field deployments.

• Prior experience in construction, physical security, or low-voltage integration industries.

• Experience building or maintaining field documentation and installation SOPs.

• OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain.
