Job Title: Lifeguard
Department: Aquatics
Reports to: Aquatics Manager
Are you a fish in human form? Do you have the reflexes of a superhero? Then we need YOU to join our team as a lifeguard at the coolest waterpark in town! You'll get to work with guests from all over the world, while enjoying perks like free access to all of our rides and attractions, discounts on food and retail, and a chance to soak up the sun while making a difference. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests as they splash, slide, and soak their way through our thrilling water attractions. Key Responsibilities:
  • Smile and create a welcoming, positive environment for every guest.
  • Prioritize safety for yourself, your fellow team members, and all guests at all times.
  • Provide exceptional guest service while ensuring the safe and proper use of all aquatic facilities.
  • Maintain active surveillance of assigned areas and consistently enforce all pool and waterpark rules and regulations.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, providing appropriate rescue care and first aid when necessary.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, treating everyone with courtesy, respect, and kindness.
  • Build positive relationships with guests by engaging in friendly conversations and creating memorable experiences.
  • Make an effort to recognize returning guests and foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in and around aquatic areas.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and efficient operation.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must be able to swim a minimum of 50 yards continuously without stopping.
  • Ability to successfully complete and maintain all required lifeguard certifications and training.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to remain alert, attentive, and focused for extended periods while monitoring aquatic areas.
  • Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to thrive in a fun, fast-paced, and guest-focused environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and understand English; additional language skills are a plus.
