Posting Number 01112 Position Title Work Study - Assistant Athletics (Student/Fan Engagement) Department Athletics: Administrative Position Summary
The Work Study - Assistant Athletics (Student/Fan Engagement) responsibilities include but are not limited to working different athletic events and providing support to the Associate Athletics Director in generating excitement, attendance and crowd engagement during home athletic events.
Education/Experience
Currently enrolled Stevenson University student in good standing with the University academically and judicially. Eligible for Federal Work-Study.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements
Medium work: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds due to daily activities. Daily standing and/or sitting, walking, talking and hearing. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal. Subject to both environmental conditions; activities occur inside and outside in all types of weather. 
Essential Functions
  • Assist in in all programs related to fan/student engagement at home athletic events.
  • Athletic game day set-up and/or breakdown focusing on special events related to fan and student body engagement.
  • Attend the Athletics Engagement Committee Meetings.
  • Generate ideas to increase attendance at sporting events and increase crowd engagement.
  • Assist in generating marketing materials for game day events.
  • Work with Athletics Communications to communication special games through social media, flyers, Stevenson University Portal, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with other student employees, athletics department staff and external sponsors.
  • Provide game day support to effectively execute the fan engagement programs planned for that event.
  • Work with the Athletics Engagement Committee to generate a calendar of events for the year, focusing on all sports, but primarily revenue generating sports.
