Position Specific Summary
The Rodriguez Lab is hiring an undergraduate student to perform critical cell line maintenance and genotyping of our transgenic mice. The Rodriguez lab studies lung injury using genetic models including in-vitro cells and in-vivo mice. The daily responsibilities are primarily tissue culture, PCR, and gel electrophoresis. There will be no direct handling of mice as part of this job, however, meticulous attention to detail and willingness to learn new techniques is an expectation. We are a highly collaborative diverse group made up of graduate students, postdoctoral associates, and lab professionals.
Standard Position Description
The student will perform basic administrative and research tasks under the guidance of a faculty member or research coordinator. Tasks may include: assisting with experiments, coding, data entry, and data cleaning, preparing research/documents for articles, reports, and/or presentations. Students may also help provide information for literature reviews, draft summaries, and create graphs and figures. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental/faculty needs.

Required Qualifications
This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided (Students working in an instructional capacity should be very familiar with the subject area in which they are working).
