Job description

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking to hire a student assistant, in a learning capacity, to work under the close supervision of the Complete Streets Hub Coordinator, a Senior Transportation Planner within the Office of the Lead Advisor for Complete Streets. The student assistant, in a learning capacity, will provide support to new and ongoing initiatives. Responsibilities will include GIS map preparation, data collection, report writing, graphic illustrations, and various tasks related to the Caltrans Complete Streets program, policies, and practices.

The student assistant will have the opportunity to work alongside Complete Streets Professionals throughout various Divisions and Offices within the Department of Transportation and gain valuable experience within one of the largest public agencies in California.
