Job description

Education: In order to apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student, enrolled in at least six credits per semester (three for summer)

Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft Office required. Art and design background is a plus, but not required. This position will have direct application to the following areas of interest: Health Science, Social Science, or Art, Design and Performing Arts.

Schedule Information Will determine schedule based on student's availability. Some evening and weekend hours will be required on occasion.  Must have some availability to work during the following hours:    Sunday      Monday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.    Tuesday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.    Wednesday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.    Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.    Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.    Saturday  

*Maximum hours per week = 20

Mental Health and Well-Being Services designs and implements a variety of wellness programs and events for both students and employees in order to enhance the overall well-being and vitality of the entire campus. Under direct supervision and guidance from the Director of Mental Health and Well-Being Services, the Student Wellness Promotion Assistant will:

Assist in the design wellness programs and promotional campaigns, including but not limited to, posters, social media posts, email, bulletin boards, flyers, interactive activities, and other engaging health and wellness promotion materials.

Provide support with various aspects of wellness event programming including the planning, logistics, implementation, and assessment.

Schedule and deliver educational tabling events, which requires comfort with talking one-on-one and in group settings.

Provide peer-to-peer wellness support and event creation for social wellness activities including, the Buddy System 

Help develop strategies for increasing awareness and participation from different campus populations at wellness events and programs.

Partner and collaborate with various student clubs and organizations in addition to other Harper departments and offices.
