Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a Cardiology unit requiring an Associate's Degree in Sonography and RCIS certification.

Details
  • Cardiology department setting performing echocardiography and cardiac diagnostic testing
  • Performs full range of echo studies including exercise stress, dobutamine stress, standard, pediatric, and transesophageal echoes
  • Documents studies and charges in Epic and completes preliminary reports in Xcelera for physician review
  • Day shift schedule Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Included in a call rotation with team members during the week and on weekends
  • Holiday coverage on a PRN basis
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Sonography required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification through CCI required
  • License required if applicable
  • Epic charting experience required
Additional Information
  • Oversees technical procedures, patient care, and workflow in the echocardiography lab
  • Assists performing physicians and sonographers to ensure high quality echocardiographic exams
  • Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness
  • Administers contrast when needed and not contraindicated
  • Cross-trains to other divisions of Cardiovascular Services
  • Team-oriented role focused on providing compassionate, high quality patient care
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
