Overview
The NDE Program Manager serves as CB&I Services' Radiation Safety Officer and technical authority for radiographic testing and advanced non-destructive examination methods supporting both self-performed and subcontracted construction activities. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, technical adequacy, and safe execution of all activities involving radiation-producing equipment. The NDE Program Manager reports to the Director, Operations and interfaces regularly with Corporate and Area Functional Leads, Area Welding and QA Managers, Area Quality Managers, and Project and Fabrication Shop Quality Managers.
Responsibilities
• Act as CBIS Radiation Safety Officer and verifies regulatory compliance and ensures all activities involving
radiation producing equipment comply with safety standards.
• Oversee radiation safety programs as well as maintains NDE personnel exposure records are kept within
permissible limits.
• Verify all rules and regulations are adhered to for each state Xray work is performed on various CBI jobs.
• Setup up NDE tool list for starting new jobs including Xray equipment, personnel dosimetry, survey meters,
Xray film and chemicals. Helping get projects set-up for self performing RT
• Review 3rd party (subcontracted) NDE Program to ensure they comply with all CBI NDE safety requirement
as well as local, state and federal compliance.
• Maintaining our licenses
• Training and qualification of NDE techs
• Taking shots and developing film when needed
• Review RT schedules
• Help with calibration program (Issuing calibration stickers)
• Assisting with AUT on projects where it's used.
Qualifications
• 20+ years of Company/Industry experience, 15+ in the relevant discipline.
• 3-4 year University degree (preferred)
