Job description

Running Creek Casino has been offering guests a full-service gaming destination in a vineyard setting along the historic Highway 20 corridor of Upper Lake, California since 2012. We are hiring for a Main Banker to process fills, credits and related exchanges for table games and other Casino functions; perform a variety of vault cashiering duties in the reconciliation and verification of incoming and outgoing vault inventory, including chips and money; assist customers and exchange money for Casino chips. In addition, the Main Banker also delegates breaks and lunches for cashiers and acts as a Cage Cashier by assisting customers in the exchange of tickets and chips for cash, cash checks, and process credit card advances.

Specifically, this role: 

  1. Calculates and prepares bank deposits.
  2. Maintains Main Bank accountability and related documents and safeguards for gaming chips, numerically controlled documentation and supply inventory.
  3. Preforms functions of Cage Cashier, as required.
  4. Reconciles main bank accountabilities for assigned shift.
  5. Completes the necessary paperwork to comply with federal currency transaction reporting requirements (Title 31 to be renewed annually).
  6. Reviews all cage cashier discrepancies and follow up reports.
  7. Performs even-money exchanges with the other casino departments and Cage Cashiers.
  8. Prepares daily cash receipts and disbursements through the main bank.
  9. Prepares and issues satellite banks
  10. Verifies all cash turned in by operating departments.
  11. Maintains an adequate amount of currency and gaming chips in reserve for daily operation and promotional events.
  12. Verifies and accepts funds from soft count.
  13. Transfers necessary currency to main bank reserve.
  14. Fills kiosk machines with cash, coin and.receipt paper.
  15. Troubleshoots and maintains kiosks running at all times.
  16. Trains new Cage personnel.
  17. Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the MIGS.
  18. Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Running Creek Casino and of the Finance department.
  19. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures of the Running Creek Casino and of the Hospitality Services department.
  20. And all other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke. Extensive computer use. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.

Qualifications:Education and Experience:

Possession of a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D) ability to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above.

Required:
  • At least 21 years of age
  • 2 years' experience in progressive cashiering (casino cage cashiering preferred)
  • Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations
