Job description

Copper River Technologies is looking for a Junior CAD Specialist to provide CAD customer service to create, modify, or reproduce standard or customized CAD drawings in hard or electronic format as requested e.g., space plan CAD drawings, Furniture and Equipment CAD drawings, Reflected ceiling plans/CAD drawings, Departmental occupancy CAD plans, Evacuation CAD plans, and Data center CAD drawings, Construction Lay down Plan/CAD drawings, Civil Topography Plan/ CAD drawings, and GIS Maps. Perform CAD data conversion and upload, and data analysis. Contractor shall provide GIS customer service support for the creation of GIS report development, data conversion, and upload.

This position will be a hybrid position reporting to the Pentagon. 

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Draw, create, and update polylined spaces, area overlays, and query boundaries on master record drawing files. Contractor shall attach, publish, and synchronize polylined drawings to specific location data within the Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system
  • Support facility census surveys as necessary for the Pentagon Reservation and Leased Facilities
  • Attach gross area, gross measured area, and individual space data to the CAFM system
  • Create, update, and develop location and organization hierarchies utilizing CAD Integrator and publish them within the CAFM environment
  • Attach organizations to specific locations and create, edit, and manage space allocations within the CAD file and publish them within the CAFM environment
  • Create, update, and attach assets to specific locations within the CAD file and publish the developed data within the CAFM environment
  • Associate drawing objects to spatial information within the CAFM environment
  • Develop drawing labels, label styles, and label themes that are visibly published within the CAFM environment]
Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Associate Degree in Drafting, or related physical or geospatial science such as Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Cartography, Information Technology, Computer Science, Urban Studies/ Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Geography, or Construction related field
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • A minimum of two (2) years' experience using AutoCAD software
    • Experience using CAD software to create, modify, convert, and standardize new or existing CAD drawing
    • Experience gathering data and preparing detailed drawings of building alterations and additions including plans, details, sections, and elevations from rough sketches and outlines with differing levels of detail, format, models, or oral instructions while developing solutions and details using the CAD System to complete drafting assignments
    • Experience performing quality assurance compliance reviews to ensure CAD deliverables conform to governing CAD standards
    • Experience repairing or correcting non complaint data elements within CAD files to comply with established data standards
    • Experience filing and indexing drawings to a common EDMS repository and format
