Payment Verification Associate

Do you have an eye for detail and enjoy working with numbers? If so, we may have an opportunity for you! Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a Payment Verification Associate to work with our Life Company operations to approve cash disbursement requests for life and annuity policies.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, updating, and approving disbursement and withdrawal requests in accordance with departmental service-level agreements and company policy. You will also void, and reissue outstanding disbursement checks as needed, and assist in the development and testing of systems and processes for the team. You will have the opportunity to apply and expand your knowledge of life insurance, annuities, and other related financial and administration systems.

What It Takes to Join Our Team
  • An Associate's Degree or equivalent is required, preferably in Accounting. Experience with life insurance or annuities is a plus.
  • In order to be successful in this role, you must be a team player with a customer service-oriented attitude, as you will be working with numerous internal customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are important in this position as well.
  • Must be a self-starter who is detail oriented and can prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong initiative and enjoy looking at processes in a creative manager to create efficiencies.
  • Ability to work from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
