Description:

Position Summary

The Cafeteria Attendant cleans, sanitizes, and maintains order in food service facilities to create a safe, pleasant eating environment. Dishwasher operations. Provide quality customer service experience for program participants, staff, and guests. The cafeteria is open 7 days a week. This position has a typical shift from 10am to 6:30pm. Weekends and holidays will be required.


Essential Functions

  1. Follow strict documentation requirements for cleaning schedule noting time task completed and observed safety, or maintenance issues. Document and report discrepancies to supervisor.
  2. Support and maintain a safe, congenial teamwork environment.
  3. Establish and maintain highest level of food service area sanitation including all food preparation and consumption areas, dish washing and dish storage areas, rest rooms, and break areas.
  4. Maintain order in cafeteria removing dishes, wiping tables, positioning chairs, and removing floor debris.
  5. Dishwasher operations and general cleaning and sanitation.
  6. Assist as required in light food preparation, stocking supplies and deliveries.
  7. Other duties as assigned providing food service department support.
  8. Promote a harassment-free environment.
  9. Model positive behavior and a high level of conflict resolution skills at all times.
  10. Participate in department meetings and all mandated PRH and corporate training.
  11. Utilize information systems and handle student data in strict adherence to Job Corps and Strategix policies to protect studentโ€™s personally identifiable information (PII) and reduce network security threats.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience Minimum

High school diploma or equivalent and one-year experience working in food service field. Valid ServSafe

Food Handler certification required.


Preferred

Culinary Arts training; two yearsโ€™ food service experience.
