Job description

Position Summary
  • The Cafe Attendant is responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service in the staff breakroom. This role ensures that the breakroom is clean, well-stocked, and inviting for all employees while maintaining standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet staff members in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages according to department standards.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain the staff breakroom, refrigerators, and supply areas.
  • Ensure all food items are handled safely and rotation procedures are followed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and surrounding areas at all times.
  • Remove trash, soiled items, and clean tables and utensils regularly.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with requisitions and deliveries.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Comply with applicable food, beverage, and fire laws and resort policies.
  • Assist with end-of-day cleaning, restocking, and closing duties.
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding supply needs, quality issues, or equipment concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall operations.

Qualifications
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old by their first day of employment.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Ability to handle and serve food and beverage products safely.
  • Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physically able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 30 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings and weekends.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.
  • All staff required to take Learn2Serve Training on Food Handling.
  • Comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
