We are currently hiring for a Café Supervisor, a hands-on role responsible for leading daily operations at Elevation Café. This position offers the opportunity to create memorable guest experiences while ensuring smooth service, team collaboration, and a warm, welcoming environment in one of the hotel's signature outlets.
Job Summary:
The Café Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, exceptional guest service, and smooth, efficient workflow. This role involves leading and motivating team members, maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality, managing inventory and supplies, and upholding cleanliness and safety protocols. The Café Supervisor plays a key role in creating a positive guest experience while supporting the overall goals and standards of the Elevation Convening Center & Hotel.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Assists with interviewing, training, and supervising team.
  • Supervises outlet staff to maintain service standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee team and guests' experience following service standards.
  • Monitors and ensures guest satisfaction with food and service.
  • Maintains neat and clean cafe operations.
  • Performs lateral service as needed for smooth operation.
  • Assists in food preparation and coffee brewing.
  • Educates team on coffee blends and brewing equipment.
  • Learns and improves food and beverage quality.
  • Provide customer service and maintain cafe setup.
  • Conducts daily staff huddles and maintains communication.
  • Ensures cleanliness, addresses guest complaints positively, and upholds food and beverage standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Basic math skills for inventory management.

Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in a café or restaurant setting preferred.
  • Previous experience in a coffee shop or a coffee roaster as a barista preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
  • Ability to work in a hot and noisy environment.
