Job description

Primary Requirements

- Current ERAU student in good academic standing.

- Recommended by ERAU for program participation.

- FAA or ICAO issued ATP or Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument and Multiengine ratings.

- Minimum 400 hours total time preferred; exceptional candidates with 250 hours may be considered.

- English language proficiency meeting aviation standards.

- U.S. work authorization and ability to meet TSA requirements.

- Ability to fulfill assigned responsibilities while upholding CAE's professional and operational standards.

Operational Readiness

- Ability to complete a Part 142 SIC (or PIC) Initial or Recurrent course.

- Availability for 2-4 consecutive weeks of fulltime initial training.

- Willingness to work 5+ hour session blocks on a variable 24/7 schedule.

- Must be able to be on site within one hour to support customer needs.

Duration & Schedule

- Fixedterm internship.

- Parttime during semesters; hours vary based on simulator availability.

- Initial training requires 2-4 weeks fulltime.

- Interns must complete 80 or 120 simulator sessions.

Professional Standards

Interns are expected to uphold CAE's values of integrity, professionalism, and respect-representing the company positively with customers, instructors, and staff.

Responsibilities

- Serve as Pilot Monitoring (PM) during simulator sessions.

- Assist instructors and center staff with setup, checklist discipline, callouts, and scenario execution.

- Prepare and brief for events; uphold CRM, safety, and communication standards.

- Demonstrate reliability and flexibility within a variable schedule.

- Represent CAE's professional standards in all interactions.

Physical Demands

- Regularly ascend/descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and scaffolding.

- Occasionally move into different positions, including confined spaces.

- Remain in stationary positions for extended periods.

- Occasionally move about to accomplish tasks.

- Occasionally lift or adjust objects up to 20 lbs.

- Occasionally perform repetitive motions.

Compensation

-Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour, overtime eligible with prior approval.
