Job description

Job Summary:

Under broad supervision, evaluates behavioral, emotional, and cognitive disorders for justice-involved youth placed in secure residential facilities. Applies theory relating to behavior and mental processes to formulate and administer treatment programs as a clinical member of a multidisciplinary team. Helps youth work toward the maintenance and enhancement of physical, intellectual, emotional, and social functioning.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

       Conduct diagnostic evaluations

       Provide clinical supervision to behavioral health staff

       Evaluate and monitor mental health clinical services to ensure they are being delivered they are being delivered in accordance with professional standards

       Provide clinical treatment services to youth, including individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, and psychoeducational programming

       Provide consultation and/or crisis intervention for youth who present emergent issues that pose a potential risk to themselves or others

       Provide clinical education, consultation and leadership for staff who work in secure residential facilities

       Provide on-call remote consultation.

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice psychology. Note: License may be temporary, provisional, or permanent.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

       Experience working with justice involved youth in residential treatment settings,

       Experience providing clinical supervision to treatment staff,

       Training and experience in trauma-focused interventions
