Job description

CAD Designer, SolidWorks 16239 - Wichita, Kansas Our client is involved in the modification of aircraft interiors/lightning with ongoing projects is seeking an experienced CAD Deigner for their operations in Kansas. Proficiency with Solidworks is preferred. Jobs Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develops, maintains and modifies basic interior/lightning component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
  • Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
  • Works under general supervision. Required Qualifications & Skills
    • Demonstrates good problem solving skills and critical thinking
    • 4+ years of experience with 3D modeling Solidworks preferred
    • Working knowledge of standard business software (MS Office Suite)
    • Ability to meet plan delivery deadlines when assigned
    • Experience in aerospace structures, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes
    • Aircraft and FAA experience is a major plus
    • Ability to work with diverse personalities
