Job description

Redline Precision Group is seeking a dependable, hands-on Shop Technician to support daily operations in our machine shop. This is a hands-on role responsible for cutting steel and stock material, assisting with fabrication and welding tasks, operating a forklift, and keeping the shop running safely and efficiently. It's a strong opportunity for someone mechanically inclined who wants to grow their skills in a fast-paced fabrication and machining environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Cut steel and stock material to size using saws, torches, and related shop equipment
  • Assist welders and fabricators with fit-up, prep, and general fabrication tasks
  • Operate a forklift to move, stage, and load material and finished product
  • Support machinists and shop personnel with setup, material handling, and cleanup
  • Read and interpret basic drawings, cut lists, and work orders
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on shop equipment and tools
  • Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and shop procedures

Qualifications
  • Ability to accurately cut steel and stock material
  • Basic welding knowledge or experience (a plus; willingness to learn required)
  • Forklift experience (certification a plus; we can certify the right candidate)
  • Ability to read a tape measure and basic shop drawings
  • Mechanically inclined with good attention to detail
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and work on your feet throughout the shift
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and a team player
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
