Job description

The Hana internship program provides opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience through meaningful project work designed to build theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and related business processes. Interns are partnered with full-time Hana employees and assigned to specific areas to support manufacturing operations and other business functions, including engineering, supply chain, IT, quality (QMS/SQM), new product development, product control, sales/marketing, accounting, and/or other areas of need. Interns will summarize and share their experiences and project outcomes with the Hana leadership team at the conclusion of their assignment.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Full-time enrollment in a baccalaureate engineering or relevant manufacturing-related program
  • Completion of freshman year (preferred)
  • 3.0 GPA or higher (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Desire and willingness to learn new skills
Essential Job Functions:
  • Complete assigned projects within scheduled timeframes
  • Support assigned business or manufacturing functions through project-based work and activities
  • Examples of project work may include, but are not limited to:
    • Supporting RFID Inlay and Tire Tag manufacturing operations through assigned projects
    • Working on yield improvement or reliability-related projects o Designing and implementing new fixturing
    • Evaluating manufacturing processes for potential improvements
    • Performing ongoing reliability testing to support manufacturing quality
    • Troubleshooting equipment and assisting with root cause analysis
    • Assisting with machine qualifications and changeovers, as appropriate
    • Editing and/or creating product designs in SolidWorks
  • Collaborate with New Product Development and Project Engineers to support production and project objectives
  • Collaborate as necessary with cross-functional teams, including New Product Development, Quality, Purchasing, IT, and Customer Service
  • Share a final internship presentation with the Hana leadership team
  • Perform other duties as assigned
