Job description

Job Title: Senior CAD/PLM Functional Consultant

Position Type: Full-time

Compensation Range: $120,000 – $160,000

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior CAD/PLM Functional Consultant with deep expertise in the white goods and consumer appliances industry. In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering design, configuration systems, quality frameworks, and PLM architecture. You will drive rules-based CAD automation, establish configurable master models, and integrate CAD environments with Siemens Teamcenter to streamline CPQ, CAPP, FMEA, and PPAP workflows across complex engineering engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • CAD SME & Modular Design: Lead CAD functionality and modular design methodology for consumer appliance assembly modeling.
  • CPQ & Variant Management: Build configurable master models, establish rules-based CAD automation, and connect 150% Variant BOMs to 100% specific product configurations within CPQ systems.
  • CAPP Alignment: Map engineering design data to CAPP frameworks to automate routing and adapt manufacturing process structures to configured CAD variants.
  • FMEA Integration: Configure DFMEA frameworks within CAD metadata to capture Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) dimensional data directly in the 3D environment.
  • PPAP Readiness: Standardize CAD configurations, parametric models, and digital annotations (MBD) to support downstream PPAP compliance and regulatory verification.
  • PLM Integration: Architect CAD-to-Teamcenter integrations using Teamcenter Product Configurator and Variant Management modules to ensure a seamless flow of geometry, pricing, and process metadata.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience: 8–15+ years in engineering services, with a strong emphasis on consumer appliances or white goods.
  • Configuration & Modular Architecture: Proven track record in CPQ processes, modular product design, options/variants definition, and automated design generation.
  • Quality & Process Lifecycles: Deep knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, and CAPP frameworks, including mapping parameters into CAD model properties and Teamcenter workflows.
  • PLM Software: Strong functional expertise in Siemens Teamcenter PLM (specifically Product Configurator and Variant Management modules).
  • CAD & MBD: Advanced proficiency in major CAD software, parametric design automation, and Model-Based Definition (MBD).
Nice to Have
  • Domain experience in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or industrial engineering.
  • Active Workspace experience within the Teamcenter environment.
  • Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum, or PMP certification.
What We Offer
  • Strategic role with direct impact on high-visibility enterprise programs.
  • Opportunity to work with marquee global clients on transformative PLM and engineering initiatives.
  • Competitive compensation ($120K – $160K) with performance-linked incentives.
